The South African accent?

Has anyone heard it, and what do you think of it? Leonardo DiCaprio said it's the most difficult accent he's ever heard, and that he really battled when he had to learn it for his movie Blood Diamond, and Chace Crawford said it's y ;-P. It's difficult to place if you have never heard it before, that's why most people ask whether a South African is Australian or British. Thanks in advance.
