Does NASA hire civil engineers?

I'm currently at school for my civil engineering degree, and I have always wanted to work for NASA. In 3rd grade I asked my teacher why we couldn't go to Mars. I really think space exploration is the key to our success as a species and I would like to be apart of it. A telescope on the Moon to track asteroids in our blind spot, and terraform Mars so we can eventually be a two planet species. Mine other moons/planets as needed. The Earth can only carry so many people and as we increase life expectancy we will need more space to grow. There are more stars than grains of sand on earth and even more planets than stars. What do you think? Will they need civil engineers?
